We have over 50 photos on yelp and google. Our website has 6K views per month. Vintage 6 lane bowling alley in the high desert. A tangerine & cream art deco scheme of the Big Lebowski movie, set in the high desert at 4200 feet elevation. Location is in an old western town built for movies in 1946. Our building was used as the set for the Gene Autry Show for 5 years. We have 6ft windows in the front and side with a covered porch. The exterior of the building was stuccoed in 1960's to maintain insurance due to fire risk.

This location was the spot where Melissa Balin's short film Motel Jerusalem was shot. Target and Paul Frank have used our interior for catalog shoots for their clothing lines. due to the rustic look and color scheme.

Interior of building is wood pine paneling, with cement floors and beamed roof that is partially covered with particle board/dropped ceiling for heating and cooling. The front of the building has an open ceiling that displays the pitched roof built by a shipbuilder. We have 4 swamp coolers to keep cool in the summer and the building and porch are 8000 sq feet. Most of the building is the 6 ABC regulation lanes used in the past for league bowling before Palm Springs had a bowling alley. There are 2 large bathrooms that would allow for wardrobe changes. There is a large parking lot that can hold almost 50 cars if parked side by side.

Walls are decorated with vintage murals painted by Hollywood set designer Wallace Roland Stark in 1946. The murals photograph extremely well and really "pop" when filmed ,as he used the same paint as used in set design. The style is a cartoon western comic style poking fun at Hollywood and the locals and actors of western films such as Duncan Renaldo, Roy Rogers and Gene Autry.

We have very dark skies at night due to location.
Large dirt parking lot, Building sits on 2.5 acres and has no paved roads surrounding it but easy access from Pioneertown road. 50 cars can easily fit in the lot. Our "iconic " Pioneer Bowl lighted road sign is displayed in Getty images for sale.
