We are a professional crew entering the 48 Hour Film Project here in NYC this coming weekend, and we'd love to see if any locations would be available this Saturday, 6/17. Per festival rules, we will pick a genre out of a hat this Friday evening (6/16) to then write, produce and edit a finished product for submission by Sunday night (6/18). All teams whose films are screened will receive full IMDB credit, and all crews must be fully volunteer. It’s a great concept that we’re proud to be a part of, even if we’ll all be failing blood pressure tests come Monday!
Based on the above, we are looking for a house to shoot, as well as any visually dynamic space that may be available on such short notice, preferably in the NYC area. We would be offering compensation by way of IMDB credit pending festival screening, meaning we will match the narrative to our resources and not the other way around. While we can't know what we're making just yet, our writer is known for The Good Fight, The Good Catholic, and Smash, so we're all pretty excited to be featured.
House/home in the NYC/Brooklyn area (i.e. not brownstone). Any/all listings will be strongly considered, all architectural styles welcome.
Any visually dynamic/interesting space
As mentioned, we will not begin writing a script till less than 12hours prior to shooting - your space can and will dictate the direction of the narrative, be it horror or romcom! All options will again be strongly considered.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have something of interest!
